The Word of God tells us to have perseverence when we face a trial, as a matter of fact, 1 Peter 2:24 says "He who bore our sins in His own body on the tree that we having died to sins might live for righteousness by whose stipes you were healed".
There are other scriptures, for example in James 1:2 it says "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing the testing of your faith produces patience but let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing". Today, I'm making quite an effort to remain steadfast due to pain in my back radiating down my leg into my right foot. Last night praying with Matthew, my husband, we decided that it's time to do something about it and stop murmuring and complaining. In the next weeks, I'll go for one more lumbar epidural injection, pray that it works and have a brand new set of MRI films and schedule surgery with the Laser Spine Institute the week of Thanksgiving.
Finally, I've come to a place of peace with all of this when I never had one before. God did provide that peace for me and he will do everything that His word says that He will do. If He said it, He will do it! Hold those thoughts!
Now in the last days it is so important to get to those lost sheep and lead them to Jesus Christ, our loving Savior! That is the biggest burden on my heart.
Since I turned 50, it's become an almost URGENT conviction that I'm not getting myself out there and sharing the Good News. Time is short and the King is soon to return. There's a lot of work for us who are called to do.
Let's get ourselves as healthy, energetic and restored so we can be as effective as we possible can and get out there. The fire is sparked and it's starting to burn brighter and that's where this peace is coming from and I want to get going and find those lost sheet and with God's help have them saved.
I want to continue praying for the Holy Spirit to strengthen me and rid me of any fear because perfect love casts out all fear. Timothy said "God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of Power, Love and a sound mind". Let's get on with it and not let a little "pain in the butt" hinder us from the Great Commission.
There now, I've just encouraged myself - THANK YOU JESUS! Praise God. Amen!

Steadfast through Trials

Today in prayer time, along with the Battle Ready Prayer in Monica e-mailed to me, I received a revelation of the amazing and powerful Love of God for us all. God wishes none should perish, but all have everlasting life. That prayer covers all of the issues you could imagine. It's wonderful, thank you my dear friend.
Today also after lunch I'm listening to a message from the Providence Church in West Chester on Philippians. Paul was actually in a Roman prison, chained to a guard and is having a joyful memory of being among the Philippian people and what a wonderful experience it was for him. Can you imagine being in a Roman prison in chains (which Paul mentions numerous times in that book) and having joy at a memory of someone. That is what God and the Holy Spirit provide to us when we remain thankful and exhibit gratitude. It's awesome to me in quiet moments when I actually calm and still my spirit enough to actually "get it".
Unfortunatly too often in our modern society we are hurried, rushed and in a rote posture. When we are finally still those moments become quite valuable and healing in my personal experience.
Have a wonderful day! Be blessed.
